Chevrolet: The Chevy Slinger - Pitch Machine (MLB)

We teamed up with Anomaly to create the world's first baseball pitching race car for an epic MLB/GM collaboration. The Chevy Slinger was created by integrating a professional 3-wheel pitching machine into a 1966 Chevy Chevelle Track car.  We worked with top-tier metal and automotive fabricator, Chris Lee, who tricked out the hood, the dash, created a custom launching controller and took it a step further with a custom ball-hopper system that allowed it to shoot up to 20 balls a minute fully autonomously. We then brought the vehicle out to a professional stadium where we tested against a real major league batter and exploded several targets for content capture. Ultimately, the vehicle was put on display at the Bristol Motor Speedway All-Star Game where it drove engagement with hundreds of fans who lined up to "pitch against the machine" by comparing their own pitch speeds to the Chevy Slinger's record speeds in a batting cage environment.
